Fun Day at the Beach

The nicest thing about life in Dubai is that the beach/pool are around the corner. Enjoy some photos taken last week at the ‘Kite Surfers Beach’ in Jumeirah:

1 year-old already!

Time flies…My little Kaiso is turning 1 year-old tomorow. This is a big milestone and I wish him to go through many many more with all the happiness, good health and success in the World.

He is such a sweety and at 1 year old his has such a fun personality already; very interactive, great sense of humour and most of all very curious and sporty little man.

He loves his big brother and really enjoys playing with him now. Lately they have been teaming up to do some really cheeky moves: e.g. emptying the kitchen drawer and letting Kais sit inside, playing ball and ‘running’ all over the place…

We love you Little Man!

Kaiso at 11 months

Kaiso is such a fun little kido. Very strong (Mashallah) and ambitious. I am always amazed at the energy and drive that babies have at such young age. At 11 months today,
- He can stand and walks when holding on to anything (his walker, the storller, my hand, the sofa…). He can also stand by himeself for a few seconds before landing on his bum
- He says a few words: ‘mama’, ‘baba’, ‘babye’ for bye bye, dada for who knows what and some other random sounds
- He cannot stay still and likes to climb over anything, over people, beds, pillows, toys, you name it
- He loves going outside, especially to the playground everyday where he plays with sand. Roxane, our nany mentioned that the other day he held onto the stroller, pushed it all the way to the main door and started knocking on the door. I guess there isn’t any clearer message!
- He eats quite often the same food as us. He loves couscous and pasta just like Zaydo but doesn’t seem to pick up the love for cheese that Zaydo and me have.
- He loves biting with his 6 little teeth
- AND he looks very very mcuh like Zaydo at a similar age.

Kaiso

Some of you might ask -and I am surely Kais will also do one day- how come Zayd had many more blog entries when he was a baby and Kais is not getting as many up till now (11 months old tomorow!). Well, the main raison is the luck of time due to the crazy lifestyle we lead in Dubai. 60+ hour working weeks doen’t help.

HOWEVER!!!! it is not a good excuse either. Kais deserves an extra effort from his mom. So things will change from now on: I officially apologize to Mr Kaiso and peldge to resolve this ASAP.

Here is the plan:

- Before Kais turns 1 year old, I will retrospectively blog about his little steps to match the number of similar blog entries I wrote for Zayd by the same age to cover major milestones, trips…etc. Watch this space for updated links

- From 1 year old onwards, Kais and Zayd will get at least 1 post every month!

My pledge is out there now so I can’t back up on my word.

Student of the Day

Zayd was ’student of the day’ today. He got 4 stars!
I asked him what did he do to get 4 stars. His answers, counting to 4 with his fingers:

1- i was good, 2- great, 3- excellent, 4-more excellent

Halloween Fun in Dubai

First real Halloween for Spiderman Zaydo…First with the Halloween parade at school followed by trick-o-treat in the neighborhood with Snow white…Look out for Kaiso who is observing quitely, getting ready for next year’s fun.

Halloween this year is also Gadour’s 60th Birthday!!! This is what Zayd thinks about this day:

Baba Gadour’s birthday is the same as Halloween! It’s such a fun day!

Off to Jumeirah Beach

Finally! The nice weather is upon us here in Dubai. This when the real fun begins…Off to the beach with Sonia and the African man with the cane . WE HAD A BLAST while some other family members are shivering in cold Switzerland and not so cold Amman and Tunis. Come and join the fun!

Guess who can write now?

Zaydo!!!!!!

The other day, Zayd was playing with his board and asked me ‘how do you spell HAPPY?’. I responded ‘H…A…P…P…Y’. A minute later, I looked towards the board only to discover that he could write! The letters had different sizes and inclination angles but it was real writing!
